Language Arts 4 – Section A

"Quest-themed Language Arts 4" is an advanced English course suitable for 7th and 8th graders or those who have completed Language Arts 3. Students embark on literary journeys, exploring human courage and spirit through texts filled with quests and challenges. The curriculum focuses on developing strong reading, discussion, and writing skills. Weekly homework includes extensive reading (50-70 pages), annotated pages, illustrations, outlining, and thematic responses. Writing assignments encourage students to imitate great authors and, in the second semester, create their own original quest story. Students must provide quotes to support claims in quizzes and discussions.
