About this Course
"The Introduction to Geometry course is a comprehensive 24-week program designed to provide a solid foundation in the fundamental concepts of geometry. Students can expect to delve into topics such as angles, triangle properties, area calculations, quadrilaterals, polygons, transformational geometry, analytic geometry, and basic trigonometry. The curriculum also emphasizes the development of geometric proof skills and offers insights into 3-dimensional geometry and the 'power of a point' theory. The course is structured around the textbook 'Introduction to Geometry'."
"Spanning a full year (24 weeks), this course is rigorous and spans multiple aspects of geometry, from foundational concepts like angle measures and triangle properties to more complex topics like transformational geometry and the beauty of geometric proofs. It aims to equip students with a deep understanding of the subject, preparing them for further geometric studies.

AoPS Online Geometry is a rigorous, honors-level proof based course.
Like all AoPS Online courses, this one is has live, synchronous classes, but no video and no audio. Courses are conducted entirely via a text based platform. Students read along as the instructor types. It sounds weird, but it works for some students.
Weekly office hours are also conducted entirely by text. This is a weakness of the course, as the response time can be slow -- you type your question and it may be several minutes before a TA sees it and replies. Another way to get questions answered is through the online forum, but this also can be a slow process.
The content of the course is in-depth and rigorous enough to satisfy the math-loving. There are weekly problems sets with at least one writing problem (proof) per week. TAs provide detailed feedback on writing problems.
I took one star off because there is very little support for students outside of class time.
That being said, my math-loving child thrived with AoPS and took their online classes through Precalculus.
