Introduction to Earth Science

The Earth Science online course is an exploration of the natural world, specifically the geosphere and hydrosphere, designed for sixth-grade students. It fosters curiosity and understanding of God's creation while teaching scientific tools and concepts. Students engage with topics like the rock cycle, plate tectonics, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, the hydrologic cycle, landforms, and oceanography. The course also covers historical advancements in geology and oceanography, observation techniques, and application of the scientific method. Learning is reinforced through model activities, experiments, and research projects, with approximately 3-4 hours of homework per week.
