About this Course
The course, designed for middle school students, runs for a semester and focuses on American Government through a lens of primary source analysis and critical thinking. Students engage with interactive web tools and multimedia materials to explore topics such as the three branches of the federal government, the Constitution, elections and voting, state and local government, and citizenship. The curriculum incorporates hands-on learning through regular written communication in discussion forums, online interactive games and simulations, and a mock legislature. Webinars, scheduled at 50 minutes each, offer recordings for missed sessions.
