Intro to Art: Sculpture and Painting | Spring

The course, suitable for middle school students (grades 6-8, with mature 5th graders welcome), is an introductory exploration into the world of art. Focusing on sculpture, ink, and watercolor painting, students will create their own interpretations of renowned master artworks and express their imagination through original pieces. The curriculum introduces key classical art concepts such as form and color theory, while also teaching basic techniques for mastery in these materials. Additionally, students will learn about significant art pieces and their influence on art development, with a focus on Renaissance masters, American artists, and impressionists.
