Intro to Art: Dry Media and Acrylic | Fall

This online art course is designed for students in grades 6 through 8, with mature 5th graders also welcomed. Throughout the course, students will explore various art mediums such as charcoal, alcohol markers, and acrylic paint to recreate interpretations of classic masterpieces and develop their imagination-inspired artwork. The curriculum focuses on introducing key classical drawing concepts, form, and color theory, while also equipping students with the fundamental techniques necessary for mastery in these materials. By examining significant artworks and studying influential artists from diverse periods like the classical, romantic, and impressionist eras, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the impact these pieces had on art's development.
