Intro to Art: Dry Media and Acrylic | Fall

This online course, designed for students in grades 6 through 8 (with mature 5th graders also welcome), introduces young learners to the world of art. Using various materials such as charcoal, alcohol markers, and acrylic paint, students will explore their creativity by interpreting master artworks and developing imaginative pieces. The course aims to instill a strong foundation in classical drawing concepts, form, and color theory, while also teaching the basic techniques necessary for working with different artistic materials. Throughout the course, students will be exposed to significant artworks and learn about master artists from different periods, including the classical, romantic, and impressionist eras.
