About this Course

This online course, a 6-session early middle school workshop, immerses students in the history of ancient Greece and Macedon through the engaging lens of the Horrible Histories series. Led by Headmaster Galahad, the class explores wicked, weird, and woeful events with the aim of sparking a lasting love for history. Key figures such as Alexander the Great are examined through stories of the people, with introductions to critical thinking skills and analyzing primary sources supplementing the Horrible Histories content. The course consists of bi-weekly 50-minute webinars with recordings available for missed sessions. Accompanying required books include 'Horrible Histories: Groovy Greeks', 'Horribly Famous: Alexander the Great', and 'Dead Famous: Alexander the Great'.
