About this Course
This is a live, online Honors Chemistry course designed for high school homeschoolers in grades 9-12. Taught by Marcy Swisher, the full-year course focuses on building a foundational understanding of chemistry and preparing students for advanced placement (AP) or college-level chemistry courses. The curriculum connects chemistry concepts to everyday phenomena to make them more relatable for students. Classes will be held every Wednesday from 12-1:30 p.m. Eastern, starting on August 26, 2024, and ending on May 4, 2025.
The course includes a tuition fee of $775, a digital Resources Fee of $50, and an estimated cost of $124 for a custom lab kit. Students are expected to have successfully completed Algebra 1 and have a strong understanding of basic algebra. A prior physical science class is recommended but not required. The class size ranges from 15-20 students, and all Blue Tent science courses are NCAA-approved.
