Honors Algebra 2

This is a description of an online Honors Algebra 2 course taught by Amelia Chan, which will be offered during the 2024-2025 school year. The course is designed to build on the concepts learned in Algebra 1 and Geometry, and covers topics such as linear equations, exponential and logarithmic functions, and conic sections. Students are expected to have access to a computer, high-speed internet, and a graphing calculator, and will be required to purchase the ebook version of Intermediate Algebra by Margaret Lial, John Hornsby (13th edition) which includes access to My MathLab for homework, quizzes, and tests. The course is delivered through an online platform with video lectures and weekly assignments, and includes one optional live Zoom session per week. Ms. Chan holds an M.A. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Mathematics and Statistics, and has over 15 years of teaching experience.
