High School Spelling and Grammar 2

The online course "High School Spelling and Grammar 2" is designed for high school students (grades 9-12) and is a continuation from level 1. Taught by Carrie Holland and running for the full academic year from Fall 2025 to Spring 2026, this English language arts course targets students who may struggle with or have a strong interest in spelling, grammar, and linguistics. The curriculum, based on the Writing Road to Reading program, focuses on phonemic awareness, phonetic code, encoding and decoding words, word origins, root words, dictionary skills, grammar rules, and sentence diagramming. Students will learn to communicate effectively and articulately, with engaging activities, class discussions, quizzes, and tests. The primary textbook is "Our Mother Tongue: A Guide to English Grammar" by Nancy Wilson (2nd Edition).
