High School Spanish 2 (Honors)

This online course, High School Spanish 2 Honors, is designed for students who have already completed Spanish 1 Honors or equivalent, focusing on expanding skills in reading, listening, writing, and speaking in Spanish. The course introduces all Spanish verb tenses, explores complex grammatical elements, and exposes students to an abridged classic Spanish novel, Lazarillo de Tormes. The curriculum also emphasizes cultural understanding and offers twice-weekly homework assignments and 30 hours of live class time per semester.

Students are encouraged to take the National Spanish Exam for practice and support. The course, available in an honors level, requires additional advanced reading and complex grammatical assignments. It is advisable to take the supplementary Intercultural Spanish Conversation course for pronunciation and conversation practice. Upon completion, high school students may earn 1 Language credit.
