High School Russian 2

This two-semester online course, Russian 2, fosters an appreciation for Russian language and culture. It builds upon skills from Russian 1, delving deeper into the uses of noun cases and verb aspects. Students explore practical topics like family, professions, and cities, enriching their vocabulary and understanding. Authentic materials like news articles and menus are used for listening and reading comprehension. Additionally, the course introduces students to Russian poetry, literature, and music.

The course meets twice weekly for one-hour sessions, supplemented by 2-3 hours of weekly homework. Homework includes written, oral, and reading assignments, along with interactive vocabulary practice. Upon completion, high school students may earn 1 Language credit.
