High School Latin 6: College-Level Latin Reading

Latin 6 is a college-level Latin reading course designed for advanced students prepared to read at an undergraduate level. The course delves into complex Latin literature, with a faster pace and more challenging texts than previous levels. Most students transition into Latin 6 after passing the AP Latin exam, but direct entry is also possible after completing Latin 4. The class is live, involving reading, translating, and discussing texts with peers under guidance, and meets 1.5 hours weekly. Students have the option to take the course for a grade, which includes delivering class presentations, a final exam, and a paper each semester. The course is open to graduates of other Latin programs and offers dual enrollment credit through Belmont Abbey College, providing high school Language credit and college credits upon completion.
