About this Course
This course is an advanced level in the Classical Composition sequence, building upon the "progymnasmata" method, a historical writing instruction system. Students review prior stages and delve into advanced genres: Encomium, Invective & Comparison, Characterization, and Description. The course requires a daily time commitment of 45-60 minutes, with grading based on weekly participation and final drafts. It is aimed at high school students aged 16-18, with completion of the Common Topic stage as a prerequisite, and proficient English grammar skills expected.
