High School Composition II

Classical Composition is an English language arts course designed for high school students in grades 10-12. It's a comprehensive, 14-stage writing program inspired by the ancient "progymnasmata" system, preparing students for collegiate writing standards. The course requires a time commitment of approximately 45-60 minutes daily, focusing on Refutation/Confirmation and Common Topic stages after reviewing preceding lessons. Students can earn 1 high school credit in English, Language Arts, Writing, or Composition, with grading based on attendance, participation, and final drafts.

Prerequisites include completing the Chreia/Maxim level and English grammar proficiency, enabling students to write grammatically correct sentences and paragraphs, and edit their work with parental assistance when needed. Required materials consist of Refutation/Confirmation and Common Topic student guides, past course guides for review, and a USB headset microphone or any built-in microphone.
