Henle Latin III: Cicero
About this Course
This one-year Latin course, suitable for students aged 14-18, builds upon foundational grammar and vocabulary learned in previous Henle or Caesar-based Latin classes. Students explore the oratory of Marcus Tullius Cicero, reading directly from the Henle Latin III text, fostering a deeper understanding of Roman oratory during Cicero's time. The curriculum covers advanced grammatical concepts such as irregular adjectives, ablative absolutes, vocative case, and imperative mood. Assessment occurs through weekly grammar, vocabulary, and translation quizzes, as well as class participation and a final exam. Prerequisites include completion of the Henle First Year Text (or equivalent) and Henle Latin II: Caesar.
