About this Course

The Intensive Geometry course is a self-paced, online course designed to strengthen students' foundation in geometry. This course covers all major geometry topics and is suitable for students who have previously taken a geometry course and those who have not. Offered by instructor Susan Habacivch, the course is equivalent to a one-semester geometry course and earns a high school half-credit upon successful completion. The course is structured around pre-recorded video tutorials and teacher-graded homework assignments. Topics covered include lines and angles, right triangles, congruence and similarity, other similarity and transformations, quadrilaterals and circles, logic and proofs, and surface areas and volumes.

The course has daily and end-of-module assignments, with a recommended minimum time of seven weeks to complete. Students should follow the provided module outline and complete the assignments in order, although they may be submitted anytime during the course. The course includes an initial conference with the teacher, who will provide a pacing guide to help students reach their goals. The prerequisite for this course is Algebra 1, and it is recommended for students in grades 9-12 who are familiar with algebra fundamentals and have the maturity to diligently complete the assigned homework.
