French IV & V

The Well-Trained Mind Academy offers a full-year online course combining French IV and French V, taught using the two-year textbook Apprenons. The course is divided into two parts, Year A and Year B, each covering one half of the textbook. Students can take the course twice, receiving full high school credit each time. By the end of the second year, students will have completed the full French high school offerings at the Academy and be prepared for intermediate college-level study. This course also serves as preparation for the Advanced Placement Language and Literature exam.

Eligible students completing four or five years of study at the Academy can apply for the Global Seal of Biliteracy. The course has a prerequisite of French III or a placement test. It's important to note that there is no delayed section offered for this course, as live interaction is crucial for language learning.
