French Conversations for French 1A

The "Conversations" class for TPS French 1A is a supplemental 90-minute course designed to provide students with additional live interaction and practice in conversational French. Intended to be taken alongside any section of TPS French 1A, this class offers students a second weekly opportunity to engage with the instructor and other students in French. The entire class session is spent in conversation, with students contributing ideas, giving oral reports, discussing, and debating in French. Games and activities are used to reinforce vocabulary and grammar taught in the weekly French 1A class.

While there may be some reading and preparation required for this class, there is little written homework. A working microphone is required for student participation. This course offers a two-session-per-week format, providing students with more review, question-asking time, and practice than the standard once-a-week course.
