French 2 is an online course designed for Upper School students, covering grammar, syntax, and vocabulary fundamentals of the French language over a full-year duration. It follows a structured course map, with key grammar points covered across both semesters. By the course's end, students will have explored regular and irregular verbs, various pronouns, comparatives, adverbs, reflexive verbs and pronouns, and a range of tenses, including the past, future, conditional, and subjunctive. With a strong focus on vocabulary expansion, students will learn hundreds of new words through memorization and weekly consolidation. The course encourages spoken language practice through reading aloud, responding to questions, and engaging in simple conversations. It supplements lessons with French readings to provide context for language usage. Homework includes written exercises, vocabulary memorization, and review for assessments.
