French 1B Language and Culture

The online course is a French language course designed for students who wish to improve their French skills, meet high school foreign language requirements for college, or even prepare for AP French. The course covers academic French curriculum and makes use of excellent multimedia resources. It continues from TPS French 1A and follows the same curriculum as TPS French 1, but at a slower pace and with enhanced learning activities for middle school learners. The course covers vocabulary for topics such as food, clothing, transportation, and more. It also teaches irregular verbs in present, near past, and near future tenses and ends with the passé composé.

Additionally, students can take "French Conversations for French 1B" to get more instruction and practice of conversational skills with the teacher and other students. This course can be combined in series with TPS French 1A to provide the equivalent of HS French 1 taken over two years, which can help students build a stronger foundation and receive a total HS credit.
