About this Course
This entry-level online course, Film Narrative, focuses on the fundamentals of screenwriting and storyboarding for students. Throughout the semester, students will learn how to read and analyze screenplays, understand cinematic elements, and grasp basic principles of narrative structure. Key learning experiences include reading and dissecting the full script of "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch & The Wardrobe," writing scripts for favorite movie clips, and creating storyboards for their own narratives.
By the end of the course, students will be skilled in formatting and structuring screenplays, as well as storyboarding their own ideas. Assignments are tailored to the ability and age of each student. The class does not require any prior experience in screenwriting or storyboarding.
