Fifth Grade Literature

This online course, designed for students aged 9-11, explores classic children's literature through C.S. Lewis' "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe," Johanna Spyri's "Heidi," and Eric Knight's "Lassie Come-Home." Students actively engage with these novels, fostering critical thinking, vocabulary enhancement, and comprehension skills. Utilizing corresponding literature guides, the course encourages discussions and assists students in identifying key characters, events, and themes. Grades are based on in-class participation, online reading quizzes, and completion of three book-specific enrichment projects.
