Fantasy Literature

This is a one-semester course centered around the exploration and analysis of fantasy literature. Students will have the opportunity to study and discuss various writings from acclaimed fantasy authors, both past and present. By examining these works, students will enhance their ability to understand and interpret the intentions, motivations, and perspectives of the authors. The course will also encourage students to compare and contrast the writing styles and themes of different authors, including one that is not covered in the class. By the end of the course, students will be able to identify various fantasy literature writings and authors, analyze themes of good versus evil, and relate the literature to their own world. This course is not offered during the 2024-2025 school year.
