Fable Stage

"Classical Composition" is a structured, 14-stage online writing program designed for students aged 9-12 (grades 4-6). Based on the historic "progymnasmata" method, it teaches creative thinking and college-level writing skills in a systematic manner. Starting with a single fable, students learn to engage readers, master narrative structures, and apply figures of description and varied sentence structures. They develop skills in language variation, narrative invention, and different perspectives. The course focuses on students' participation and the quality of their final, typed drafts submitted online. Prerequisites include a basic understanding of English grammar and simple typing skills.
