About this Course
The "Entrepreneurship 2" course at True North Academy, taught by Gina Steffy, is an advanced, 16-week program designed for high school students who have completed Entrepreneurship 1 or possess a clear business idea. The course delves into various aspects of entrepreneurship, including product acquisition, startup financing, sales and marketing, legal considerations, and business funding. Using Bill Aulet’s "Disciplined Entrepreneurship Expanded and Updated" as a foundation, students learn a 24-step framework to create and scale successful ventures. Through interactive projects, digital tools, and the SAMR model, students develop skills in market analysis, value proposition creation, prototyping, financial modeling, and go-to-market strategy development. By the end of the course, students will have created a comprehensive business plan, designed a market-ready prototype, pitched their idea, and gained confidence in applying entrepreneurial principles.
The course also integrates advanced strategies from "Disciplined Entrepreneurship: Startup Tactics," teaching students to conduct advanced market research, launch initial products, attract investors, and grow their startups with limited resources. Students explore targeted marketing tactics, maximize their impact, and develop tools for funding, staffing, and scaling their ventures. This hands-on, project-based learning prepares students to lead, create, and innovate in today's entrepreneurial landscape. Prerequisite: Completion of Entrepreneurship 1 or equivalent foundational knowledge.
