About this Course
Entrepreneurship 2, offered at True North Academy, is a 16-week advanced course designed for high school students who have completed Entrepreneurship 1 or possess a clear business idea. Taught by Gina Steffy, this course delves into critical aspects of entrepreneurship, such as product acquisition, startup finances, sales and marketing, legal considerations, and business funding. Utilizing Bill Aulet's 'Disciplined Entrepreneurship Expanded and Updated', the course provides students with a proven 24-step framework to create and scale successful ventures. Students will develop essential skills in market analysis, value proposition creation, prototyping, financial modeling, and go-to-market strategy development through interactive projects and digital tools.
By the end of the course, students will create a comprehensive business plan, design and test a market-ready product or service prototype, effectively pitch their idea to stakeholders, and gain confidence in applying entrepreneurial principles to real-world scenarios. The course incorporates the SAMR model to enhance learning, using digital platforms, collaborative tools, and multimedia, preparing students for today's fast-paced business world.
