English Literature & Composition 2

This is a self-paced online English Literature & Composition 2 course designed for high school homeschoolers in the 10th grade and up. The course takes students through an analytical journey of literary works, from Old English Beowulf to contemporary literature. Students will explore various literary pieces, including novels, plays, and short stories, and learn about the elements that make them timeless. The course includes weekly class discussion forums to broaden students' perspectives and challenge them to think deeply. It is a teacher-graded course, with instructor Christine Proctor providing detailed feedback on essays and being available for student questions daily. The course is priced at $700 and is available to start from Aug 19, 2024, to Dec 15, 2024, and must be completed by July 19, 2025.

The course focuses on honing students' skills in literary analysis and pumping up their writing skills. Students will learn to appreciate literary strategies, annotate for close reading, and receive detailed instructor feedback on essays. The course also includes regular test-prep exercises to prepare students for the English and writing portions of the SAT and ACT.
