English as a Foreign Language - Intermediate (EFL-I)

The TPS English as a Foreign Language - Intermediate (EFL-I) is a course designed for students who already have basic conversational English skills and wish to advance to an academic level necessary for national English exams, TOEFL, or English-taught classes. The course offers comprehensive training in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, with a particular focus on grammar and vocabulary. It includes both in-class group instruction and discussions, as well as homework and activities outside of class for feedback and evaluation. This course is the first part of the TPS EFL program that runs from grade 4 through grade 9 and is suitable for any EFL student, particularly those in China.

Placement in the course requires two preliminary individual assessments of each student's English level in all areas of language acquisition, including a written test and an online meeting with the teacher. The EFL program includes courses from grade 4 to grade 9.
