About this Course

This online literature and composition course, designed for ninth-grade students, offers a comprehensive exploration of various literary genres and writing styles. Students will read and analyze stories of characters who rely on their instincts and intuition, diving into the fantasy worlds of Percy Jackson and Frodo, uncovering mysteries with Sherlock Holmes, and more. The course covers short story, film, poetry, stage, nonfiction, and rhetoric, aiming to build students' literary repertoire and persuasive writing skills. The curriculum also encourages students to experiment with different tones, styles, and purposes in their writing, preparing them for upper-level English courses.

Please note that this course is not available for high school credit through TPS, but it can be utilized for a homeschool transcript or omitted from a transcript.
