"Elementary Latin 2" is an online course that builds upon the foundation of Latin language learning established in the earlier level. Using "Minimus Secundus: Moving on in Latin" and "Minimus Workbook II" as texts, it introduces students to the imperfect tense for first conjugation verbs and the irregular verb 'to be.' The curriculum reinforces understanding of various grammatical concepts, including infinitive, imperative, and impersonal verbs, noun declensions, and the use of cases. It also incorporates historical information about Roman Britain, with a focus on the fictional Roman family, Flavius, Lepidina, and their children.

The course emphasizes active learning through homework exercises that involve chanting, reading aloud, and listening activities. Students are expected to master model noun declensions and verb conjugations, and expand their vocabulary with over 135 new words. The structured approach aims to instill good language habits, such as identifying nominative, genitive, and gender for all nouns, and principal parts for all verbs.
