About this Course
This is a one-semester online course that introduces students to the fundamentals of economics. It covers key concepts such as supply, demand, elasticity, scarcity, externalities, and more, with a focus on applying economic thinking to various scenarios, including government policy, business decisions, and daily interactions. The course requires students to complete weekly reading assignments, participate in discussion boards, and answer written questions related to the course material. There will also be two written papers and two exams throughout the semester.
Prior to taking this course, students must have completed U.S. History or an advanced placement U.S. History course. This course is not full-year, AP, honors, or NCAA approved. It is not a series or test prep course. It does not cover religious studies, physical education, or world languages.
