About this Course
In this year-long course, students in grades 10 through 12 will delve into the art of creative storytelling, focusing on the power of language to convey truth about the human experience. Drawing inspiration from literary greats and guided by the belief that God is the ultimate Storyteller, students will learn to craft compelling narratives that resonate with their audience and point towards Christ. This creative writing class is designed to improve communication skills, develop empathy through character creation, and serve as a powerful medium for self-expression and exploration of human nature.
Throughout the academic year, students will engage with challenging exercises to harness their imagination, evaluate story structure, and refine their unique voices as writers. The anticipated audience for this course is upper school students intimidated or intrigued by the written word, eager to transform their love for stories into masterfully crafted narratives.
