About this Course
This online course offers three live creative writing classes for 7th-12th grade homeschoolers who have a passion for writing stories and poems. The small classes provide a safe space for students to share, compare, and support each other's work. The three one-semester electives, which can be taken in any order, cover four categories of imaginative writing: Cradle to Crypt, Fantasy to Farce, and Short Stories to Tall Tales. The classes are NCAA-approved and can serve as half an English credit or as a separate elective.
The tuition per semester is $4450 and resources are provided by the instructor. The live online classes take place on Zoom every other Friday for one hour, and students are expected to have their webcams on and actively participate during the designed for 7th-12th grade students. It can be taken in any order and offers foundational elements of writing in various categories, such as children's books, fantasy/fairy tales, historical fiction, and short stories. The fall sessions will cover Cradle to Crypt and Fantasy to Farce, and Spring Sessions will learn Short Stories to Tall Tales.
