Creative Writing
About this Course
Creative Writing for the Logic Stage is a one-semester course that explores various aspects and genres of creative writing. The course, which can also be taken as a full-year program, meets once a week and is graded on a pass/fail basis. Through analysis of selected readings and writing exercises, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of fiction and poetry. The course is structured to ensure that students build a strong foundation in the core elements of creative writing.
The course offers a full-year option, where students can enroll in both the fall and spring semesters. The fall semester focuses on introducing students to fundamental concepts, with an emphasis on strengthening individual skills. In the spring semester, students will revisit these concepts and will be encouraged to build upon them to create more complex and independent works. Original work is expected from students in both semesters, with a greater focus on original pieces in the spring.
