About this Course

The course, "MS Conversational Spanish," is an intermediate-level language learning program designed for students who have completed Spanish for Children B or an equivalent introductory course, welcoming students from 6th to 9th grade. The program aims to enhance students' Spanish language skills by expanding their vocabulary and refining their mastery of grammatical structures, while simultaneously instilling a cultural appreciation for the Hispanic world. This is achieved by studying 16 Hispanic fables, practicing reading intermediate-level Spanish prose, and engaging in conversational Spanish and skit performances. The curriculum runs on a 3-year cycle, focusing on stories from Mexico, Spain, and Latin America, with "Stories from Latin America" being the current focus. Instruction is conducted primarily in Spanish.
