Comics and Graphic Narrative Art | Spring

The course "Storytelling Through Comics" focuses on teaching students the fundamentals of creating a comic, from conceptualization to implementation. Starting with understanding narrative elements from classic stories, students will engage in character design, research, storyboarding, and pitching an idea. The course will also cover hands-on aspects such as drawing and inking, both traditionally and using digital tools like Photoshop and Procreate. By the end, students will be equipped with principles and skills to coherently communicate a story in comic style, applicable to their original creations.
