About this Course
The online course in question is a comprehensive study of music notation and its various elements. It covers crucial musical symbols, intervals, scales, key signatures, rhythm and pitch notation, triads, seventh chords, melody harmonization, non-harmonic tones, counterpoint, and functional harmony. Students will learn to understand and articulate how tonal music works and apply these concepts to their own musical abilities. The course is approved for college credit by Belhaven University (MUS 121, 3 credits), which can be transferred to other colleges.
