Chreia & Maxim Stage

This online course, designed for students aged 11-13, is a continuation of the Fable and Narrative Stages. It focuses on developing students' ability to express ideas and structure their communication effectively. The Chreia & Maxim method is integrated, which includes eight essential elements in the rhetorical process. Students learn to craft original narratives based on given ideas, honing their skills in paraphrasing to make concepts clearer. Evaluation is based on participation, outline submissions, and final draft submissions. Prerequisites include completion of the Fable and Narrative Stages, and a foundational knowledge of English grammar. Textbooks include the Chreia & Maxim Student Guide, a standard dictionary and thesaurus, and previous Classical Composition Student Guides.
