Chemistry

This is a full-year high school Chemistry course designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of chemistry and its application in everyday life. Students will explore topics ranging from atomic structure and states of matter to chemical reactions and acids and bases, using interactive live classes, videos, hands-on activities, games, and virtual labs. The course aims to make chemistry accessible and engaging by connecting concepts to real-world applications. No textbook purchase is required, and optional reading passages from the free, online CK-12 Chemistry Textbook are provided for students who prefer a reading-based approach. Assessment involves class participation, weekly homework assignments, and periodic exams. The course meets for one hour per week on either Tuesday or Wednesday, and upon completion, students will earn one high school credit.
