Chemistry

This is a college-prep chemistry course designed for high school students, with a focus on making the subject accessible even to those who may not be strong in science. The course covers a range of topics including scientific measurement, matter, atomic theory, the periodic table, bonding, gas laws, and chemical reactions. It also includes a laboratory component, with both virtual and hands-on experiments using common household chemicals. There is a special emphasis on math instruction for solving chemistry problems and training for writing lab reports.

The course can be taken as a standard or honors level, with the honors level offering a more advanced approach and additional topics. An additional low-cost seminar course, Chemistry Problem Solving, is also available to supplement the main course and provide additional support and practice.
