Calculus 1 (Outlier)

The CLRC offers a unique opportunity for high school students to enroll in dual enrollment courses through Outlier by Savvas, granting college credit from the University of Pittsburgh. These courses are taught asynchronously via studio-quality, recorded lectures by professors from top universities, following a rigorous 39-week, full-year schedule. Students should allocate approximately 5-6 hours weekly, and while there's no direct prof contact, Math courses include free, live 24/7 tutoring. Upon completion, students earn 1 high school credit and 3 college credits, transferable based on recipient colleges' policies.

The courses offered through this program are more screen-intensive than typical CLRC courses, with interactive textbooks and structured quizzes for mastery. They provide access to subjects not normally available at CLRC, like Computer Science, Accounting, and Statistics, at a reduced college credit rate.
