Biology, Beavers, and Bees, Oh my!: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Life Science B (Spring)

'Biology, Beavers, and Bees, Oh My!' is a two-semester, high school-level biology course that combines the fundamentals of life sciences with real-world case studies of bees and beavers. Students learn through engaging narratives and hands-on, applicable science, fostering critical thinking and understanding of modern biological challenges like conservation and climate change. This 16-week online course features weekly 50-minute webinars with recording access for missed sessions.

Key topics covered in the spring semester include the process of science, ecological concepts like food chains and webs, predation, biogeography, CO2 and climate change, developmental biology, immunity, and the central nervous system, alongside an in-depth exploration of the plight of North American beavers.
