About this Course

This is a full-year course that covers basic principles and topics in biology, such as biochemistry, cell structure and function, heredity, molecular genetics, evolutionary theory, organism diversity, and ecology. The class uses a "flipped" classroom approach, where students prepare for class by watching videos and reading from the textbook, and class time is dedicated to discussion and mastery of the material. The goal of the course is to help students gain a strong understanding of introductory biology concepts and principles, as well as develop critical thinking skills and the ability to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios.
