Big History B

This online course, 'Big History', is designed for high school students and focuses on a comprehensive overview of the universe's history spanning 13.7 billion years. Divided into two semesters, the second half (BHB) covers five units, tracing human history from the emergence of early humans to the present and beyond, including a unit dedicated to exploring the future. The course integrates scientific concepts within a historic context, centering around four main themes: 'Thresholds of Increasing Complexity', 'Differing Scales in Space and Time', 'Claims Testing', and 'Collective Learning'. Live weekly webinars, lasting 50 minutes each, allow for interactive learning, with recordings available for missed sessions.
