Biblical Feasts and Festivals

This online course, "Biblical Feasts and Festivals," delves into the historical and cultural significance of Jewish holidays as outlined in the Hebrew Bible. Throughout one semester, students from junior high school level to adults will explore topics such as the structure of the Jewish calendar, the celebration of Shabbat, new months, pilgrimage festivals, new year festivals, and additional Hebrew Bible festivals. The primary text is the Hebrew Bible, and students are expected to study designated passages and have a copy of the Bible for class. The course aims to illustrate how these festivals have shaped Jewish life and provide insights into understanding the Bible's relevance today. It is designed to complement Modern or Biblical Hebrew language studies.
