This is a high school level astronomy course that covers various celestial objects in our solar system, as well as stars, galaxies, and space travel. The course provides a strong foundation in the physical laws that govern these celestial objects and offers practical knowledge in determining one's location using the stars in the night sky. It also delves into the historical background of the subject to give students a comprehensive understanding of the academic and investigative paths taken to gain our current understanding of the universe. The course features multiple observational lab exercises, which are a combination of online computer simulations, in-class data analysis, and at-home experiments using common objects and materials. However, it's worth noting that this course does not have sufficient lab work to fulfill the requirements of a high school "lab science."
