About this Course

Art 2: Botanical Drawing and Watercolor is a one-semester, half-credit course designed for junior and senior high students, meeting weekly in the second semester at 2:15 PM CST. The course is an experiential journey through the diverse native botanicals of America, from Hawaii to Alaska, exploring various ecosystems and their plant life. Students learn and practice various artistic techniques such as sketching, shading, perspective, linework, color theory, and glazing while capturing the beauty of these botanicals in their artwork. There are no prerequisites for this course.
