Art 2 - Painting 1

This online studio course in painting is designed for students at various skill levels, from beginners to those with more experience. Using acrylic paints, students will delve into color theory, color mixing, problem solving, and expressive handling of the medium. The course will also cover traditional and experimental techniques and materials. Students will be expected to apply the sight drawing and design principles they learned in previous TPS Art 1 courses.

In addition to instructor feedback, students will participate in peer critiques and complete short writing projects to enhance their studio work. While not required, it is recommended that students complete Art 1 - Drawing 1 before taking this course as they work towards Art 3 - Advanced Portfolio.
